Free Year-end Countdown Concert Features International Artists, 50+ Artisan Vendors, and Spectacular Midnight Fireworks to Welcome 2026


Sunway Velocity welcomes the new year with a large-scale street celebration transforming Jalan Peel, Kuala Lumpur into Malaysia's premier New Year's Eve destination on December 31, 2025, from 4 pm onwards. This free, all-ages NYE Countdown Concert 2026 invites the entire community to gather for an evening that combines world-class entertainment, community experiences, and exceptional retail opportunities, elevating traditional holiday celebrations into unforgettable shared moments.

This countdown concert creates an avenue for the community to celebrate meaningful moments through live entertainment, cultural discoveries, and community connection," said Phang Sau Lian, Senior General Manager of Sunway Malls Kuala Lumpur.

From 4:30 pm onwards, The ROWS Market transforms Jalan Peel into a vibrant bazaar featuring over 50 booths offering artisan crafts, gourmet food, beverages, and unique finds perfect for celebration or last-minute gifting.

The celebration features a K-Pop Dance Challenge at 7pm, inviting enthusiasts of all skill levels to showcase their moves on stage. Furthermore, over 50 participating outlets will extend trading hours until midnight and beyond 1 am, offering exclusive year-end deals and culinary delights for late-night shoppers.

Leading the musical lineup, KIIRAS, the rising K-pop sensation led by Malaysian-born Lingling, returns home to celebrate the new year with fans across Malaysia. MASDO brings their signature fusion of 60s revival pop, modern energy, and timeless charisma to the stage.

The stage also welcomes Layla Sania, the breakout Mandopop phenomenon of Malay background enchanting Chinese listeners with her blended musical identity, alongside Annabella, a celebrated songstress marking her place as a leading Malaysian talent on the rise. Plus, DJ Blink rounds out the night with driving beats and spirited remixes to launch you into 2026.

At midnight, a breathtaking fireworks display will illuminate the night sky, providing the perfect crescendo to welcome 2026.

Adding to the NYE anticipation, from 22-31 December, shoppers spending RM300 or more on a single F&B receipt at Sunway Velocity Mall and Sunway Velocity TWO will qualify to enter by uploading the receipt to the Sunway Malls mobile apps, completing a short question, and scanning the designated QR code to unlock their chances to win grand prizes, including massage chairs, holiday and cruise packages, home appliances, premium luggage, and more.

Bangkok: Shopping Haven (Part 3) Terminal 21

In my 3 days in Bangkok, I visited Terminal 21 three times because that was the closest mall nearest to my hotel and it's just 10 min's walk away from the hotel where I stay  Four Points Hotel (To read more about this hotel, click  here ) It's from my part 1 blogpost ASOK Station is the closest BTS station to Terminal 21.  The overhead walkway also links the BTS to the mall. So convenient for visitors. Just next to the Terminal 21 shopping centre is  the  Grand Centre Point Hotel  which is super luxurious and offers free flow of coffee and drinks to guests at the lobby.  Stepping into the mall, I was captivated by the colourful umbrellas that creates a great work of art to add plenty of colours to the mall.Wonder how they do the balancing act.
