Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur Unveils 2025 Mid-Autumn Collection

The Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner, a perfect time to celebrate timeless elegance and exquisite taste with Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur’s luxurious mooncake collection. This year, I’m thrilled to be part of their exclusive media preview and had the pleasure of sampling their exquisite selection firsthand.
As lanterns begin to glow and the moon prepares to rise in its full splendour, the Mid-Autumn Festival returns once again to unite families and communities through storytelling, moon-gazing, and the sharing of mooncakes. At Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur this cherished tradition is brought to life through its 2025 Mid-Autumn Collection, a luxurious selection of mooncakes curated by Chinese Executive Chef Keith Yeap.
Timeless Elegance, Exquisite Taste
This year’s collection draws inspiration from the symbolism of the peony flower, a timeless emblem of prosperity, honour and enduring relationships. Its graceful beauty is echoed in every detail, from the elegant gift boxes to the thoughtfully layered flavours, each one crafted with meaning and refinement. The Mid-Autumn collection will be available from 15 July to 6 October 2025.
According to Chef Keith Yeap, the Mid-Autumn Festival is as much about appreciation as it is about reunion. “Each mooncake is a gesture of heartfelt giving,” he explains. “Whether shared with family, friends or business partners, it is the sentiment behind the gift that carries meaning. This year, I wanted to craft flavours that honour heritage while capturing a sense of balance, warmth and connection.

Imperial Lunar Luxe Gift Set
A personalised mooncake experience, the Imperial Lunar Luxe Gift Set is presented in striking turquoise blue and ruby red, each housed in a square, book-style box adorned with intricate embossed floral motifs. Accented with gold detailing and a metallic nameplate, the design blends modern sophistication with timeless charm. Priced from RM42 per piece, guests may select any four full-sized baked mooncakes (160g each) from a curated range of traditional and premium flavours.
Highlights include the Red Bean Paste with 40-Year-Old Dried Tangerine Skin, renowned for its mellow sweetness and aged citrus aroma, and the Lotus Seed Paste with Double Yolk, a rich classic symbolising unity and abundance. For a lighter touch, White Lotus Seed Paste, available with or without yolk, offers a smooth and delicate profile. Other favourites include Assorted Nuts and Sun-Dried Fruits, the locally inspired Pandan Lotus Seed Paste with Yolk, and two modern indulgences — Yuzu Lotus Seed Paste with Bird’s Nest and Osmanthus White Lotus Seed Paste with Yolk.

Celestial Gold Musang King Treasure Gift Set
For lovers of durian, the Celestial Gold Musang King Treasure Gift Set is the ultimate indulgence. Priced at RM528, it includes eight snow skin mooncakes (60g each) filled with premium Musang King durian creamy, fragrant, and utterly irresistible.
