Cheap Eggs and 10kg local white rice

It's the Raya season and I am super glad to see these 2 items that are so berbaloi to buy and stock up! Are you egg-cited???

2) Subsidised Local White Rice 10kg (For Malaysians only. Must show IC)


Now let's talk about the eggs first.

So far, the cheapest eggs I saw is at Lotus's for their Grade D eggs.

A Facebook post on Aeon Big's FB Page also showed this promotion, RM5.99 for a tray of 30 eggs in grade C


I spotted these going at RM5.90 (Grade C eggs) at Jaya Grocer DC Mall while shopping one day. Even more atas punya supermarket carry eggs at this affordable price. Amazing!

Malaysia is so blessed. We have eggs going for such affordable prices right now while USA is scrambling to find eggs as demand is higher than supply and made the price of eggs sky rocket.  Up to a point that some even resorted to "renting chickens" to lay eggs. yes, Americans are now renting chickens!



In the USA, due to rising egg prices and shortages, some companies like Rent The Chicken offer chicken rentals, providing consumers with a way to access fresh eggs without the long-term commitment of owning chickens. 


Enough of Chicken and Egg Story. Let's move on to the next must-buy item. 
Malaysians got very excited when the Goverment announced a RM26 for 10kg of subsidised local white rice. It's subsidised rice, of course and it's only for Malaysians. One must show their IC to the cashier before being allowed to purchase. There will be limits too!

A Good Catch at Sek 17, PJ

If you love steam fish, this place is for you! Located at the other end of the mamak (nearby Seventeen Mall), this place is a hit especially for those who love healthy and simple food.  Mom and dad first discovered this place and finally took me here for dinner one day and I fell in love with its simple dishes. Address: 1270-1271, Jalan 17/31, Seksyen 17, 46400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Their menu is not fancy with many choices but good enough for a decent healthy dinner. They open as early as 5pm. Be there early to beat the hungry crowd.  My recommendation would be their Steamed Leopard Coral Goruper and Steamed Dragon Goruper. Sometimes these fish can go out of stock if you go too late. Baan Thai 2 Seafood Restaurant at Kuchai Lama

Not Halal I recently discovered a new place to dine authentic Thai Food at Jalan Kuchai Lama when my mom's friend took her to celebrate her birthday this year. This is their second outlet and it's only 3 months old. Their first outlet, Baan Thai is located in Cheras. It was indeed an eye opener. Upon stepping in the restaurant, I was dumbfounded! The size of the restaurant was huge and there was massive space.
