The Retail Bleeds

It was such a sad sight walking into a mall before my Jab yesterday. Here is a glimpse of the retail scene at Sunway Pyramid. Sad but true. These were taken during the EMCO period when all non essential shops were not allowed to operate. The retail scene is BLEEEEDDDDIIIIIINNNG!

All fashion, beauty, hair salons..etc were not allowed to open.

Only those in the F&B business were allowed to operate. Check out the standalone Inside Scoop kiosk where it's surrounded by emptiness of shops around it. Kasihan.

Before my jab, I manage to grab a kebab from my favourite Kebab store at Kebab King. They serve the best of the best kebabs in my opinion. Only 1 outlet is left. They used to have another outlet at One Utama but it was long gone.

It's just so heartbreaking to see this scene with most shops not open.
Friends and relatives in some businesses cannot open for business and some yet still have to pay their staff and shop rentals. The situation makes it hard for businesses to survive. How long can they stay afloat? How many more businesses can survive this closure and for how long? Reserves are running low. What about those who need income to pay for their housing loans, car loans and other commitments. Without income how do they survive?

It's a real fact that entrepreneurs are bleeding all the way and dying a slow death with extensions after extensions and are not allowed to open for business.
When only can we be free again?
