All the malls are already decked up in Chinese New Year decorations by this time of the year. Here is a glimpse of Setia City Mall's Chinese New Year decorations this year with the theme, (牛年快乐) Niú Nián Kuài Lè starting from 9 January to 28 February 2021.

Setia City Mall unveils a  ‘Nostalgic Malaysian Chinese Village’ with a joyous celebration to welcome this year’s Chinese New Year festivities. Inspired by the local Chinese village, expect to be wowed by the opulent decorations surrounding the mall. See it for yourselves how beautifully Setia City Mall is decked up this Chinese New Year by the photos below. 

Taking inspiration from a scene from a local Chinese village, Setia City Mall has beautifully decorated their mall with items of yesteryear to surround us with our childhood memories.

A towering golden lion, standing tall and greets you with abundant prosperity.

Take a stroll at the centre court for a ceremonial and prosperous entrance while enjoying a specially-curated Malaysian Chinese village with Chinese cultural mural wall art paintings surrounded by magnificent 'Kuamquat' (Golden Oranges) around the village as it symbolizes prosperity and luck and a sky filled with lucky red lanterns.

If you love steam fish, this place is for you! Located at the other end of the mamak (nearby Seventeen Mall), this place is a hit especially for those who love healthy and simple food.  Mom and dad first discovered this place and finally took me here for dinner one day and I fell in love with its simple dishes. Address: 1270-1271, Jalan 17/31, Seksyen 17, 46400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Their menu is not fancy with many choices but good enough for a decent healthy dinner. They open as early as 5pm. Be there early to beat the hungry crowd.  My recommendation would be their Steamed Leopard Coral Goruper and Steamed Dragon Goruper. Sometimes these fish can go out of stock if you go too late. My first visit was at 8.30pm. It was still crowded but not that much as compared to my second visit at 7.30pm on another day. I had to walk off cause there were just too many tables unfed. Baan Thai 2 Seafood Restaurant at Kuchai Lama

Not Halal I recently discovered a new place to dine authentic Thai Food at Jalan Kuchai Lama when my mom's friend took her to celebrate her birthday this year. This is their second outlet and it's only 3 months old. Their first outlet, Baan Thai is located in Cheras. It was indeed an eye opener. Upon stepping in the restaurant, I was dumbfounded! The size of the restaurant was huge and there was massive space.
