Yannick Bovy Celebrates 100 Years Of Nat King Cole

Nat King Cole would celebrate his 100th Birthday this year if he were alive. In celebrating this jazz legend, Yannick Bovy performed some of Nat King Cole's greatest hits in his performance at Istana Budaya to celebrate this jazz legend.
Malaysians were mezmerized by the sounds of YANNICK Bovy who put on a spectacular show a few nights ago with great tunes of yesteryears. The night was graced with the presence of Their Royal Highness Yang Di Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan and Tunku Ampuan Besar.

And the opening show performance of the night was by local jazz celebrity Sharizan Borhan who not only emceed but also sang SINARAN (and yeah he got the crowd to sing with him too!) Later he even sang a duet with Yannick Bovy himself!

Yannick Bovy serenaded the full house crowd with Classic Evergreen   timeless classics like: Unforgettable,  L-O-V-E, Route 66, Nature Boy, Mona Lisa, Stardust, Quizás, Quizás, Quizás
He certainly stole our hearts when he personally hand delivered some flowers to the ladies. He is super charming
My favourite would be Dream A Little Dream, Fly Me To The Moon and Unforgettable. Certainly an unforgettable night.
My jaw dropped when he sang a Malay number perfectly. He gave it his all in GETARAN JIWA and the crowd went wild hearing him sing in Bahasa. This is what I call RESPECT. Not only we respect him, but he respects us Malaysians too. And that's so sweet and thoughtful blending in a Malay number into his performance to win the hearts of the crowds even more.

I love the way he moves and interacts with the crowd too. Yeah he has got the right moves and shakes his sexy booty, legs and hands and his whole body to the jazzy tunes in perfect harmony.
He dances well and introduces each song with the perfect intro to lead in to the next song. It was one of the best shows I have seen so far.
Yannick Bovy's "boys", the musicians who also played a huge part in the success of the entire show is also very important cause together, they make beautiful music and topping it up with Yannick's beautiful voice makes the entire night splendid!

Thank you Milestone Entertainment for your kind invitation. Yannick Bovy welcome to Malaysia!
You've wow-ed us and put on a fantastic show!

We had a great time!
I was trying to be cheeky and made this funny pose from his poster with a creative shot. I hope you all had a great time and enjoyed his music too. I certainly did! And I sang along to most of his songs. I love oldies :) Yeah! I am an oldie at heart!

About Yannick Bovy
Yannick started his musical quest in Belgium, his home. His debut album, 'Better Man' consists of 15 tracks. 'Better Man' can be described as a classy tribute to the Big Band, crooner and jazz traditions of yore, spiced with solid own work and surprising covers including absolute classics such as "I've Got You Under My Skin" (Sinatra), "My Cherie Amour" (Wonder) and "All My Loving" (Beatles).

Yannick Bovy’s music can be heard in all corners of the world. Songs from his first two albums ‘Better Man’ and ‘All The Way’, just like ‘Theoretical Love’, ‘She’s Even More Beautiful’ and ‘Six’ soon found success in the German, Polish, Greek, and also Brazilian, Indonesian and Thai charts. He has been a supporting act for Lionel Richie, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, and has taken to the stage with Lisa Stansfield and Amy MacDonald among other greats.

It was the Belgian music legend Wil Tura, who out of his great love for jazz and swing, presented Yannick with a number of songs with an international character that would form the main thread for ‘Love Swings’, his third album. His music career recorded a great success worldwide with Malaysia ranked in at the No.2 spot of most Yannick Bovy fans in South East Asia.

In April 2019 Yannick Bovy released his album “Yannick Bovy celebrates Nat King Cole” as a tribute to Nat King Cole’s unparalleled repertoire.  The album already got rave reviews from fans around the Globe and the singles ‘Let there be love’ and ‘Let’s face the music and dance’ can be heard on radio’s from Europe to Canada and the Far East at the moment.
