The first sweet & savoury KITKAT chocolate wafer
Chocolate lovers from all over Malaysia celebrate World Chocolate Day with KITKAT! As the leading trendsetter in the chocolate category, this World Chocolate Day, KITKAT is introducing a new level of break, the limited edition – KITKAT Popcorn.

Over the years, KITKAT has established a record of creating unique combinations of flavours such as the KITKAT Green Tea, KITKAT DUO Teh Tarik, and KITKAT Rose Bandung, among many others. This year, KITKAT levelled up its innovation by bringing an extraordinary new variant – KITKAT Popcorn, the first sweet and savoury variant in its range.
KITKAT Popcorn features a luscious sweet and savoury combination of smooth milk chocolate, dusted with crusty salted caramel flakes, encasing layers of freshly baked crisp wafer with salted caramel popcorn praline. This is sure to be a hit amongst KITKAT lovers.

Sachin Goel, Business Executive Officer for Confectionery Business Unit (ASEAN Markets), Nestlé Malaysia, said “We pride ourselves in creating cool, delicious and fun ways for our fans to enjoy and elevate their break with KITKAT. Popcorn has become an emerging trend globally as in Malaysia. Consumers not only indulge in a bucket of popcorn at the cinemas but also in the comfort of their homes with family and friends while watching their favourite TV series. We created KITKAT Popcorn for consumers to taste the perfect combination of both sweet and savoury worlds that we believe bring new excitement”.

Under the Nestlé Cocoa Plan, KITKAT Popcorn is made using 100% sustainably sourced cocoa. The Nestlé Cocoa Plan was launched in 2009, in efforts to improve the livelihood of cocoa farming communities in Côte d'Ivoire with the purpose of enhancing the quality of life and contributing to a healthier future. KITKAT Malaysia produces its KITKAT product range at the factory in Chembong, Negeri Sembilan.

The new and delicious KITKAT Popcorn is now available in a single 2-Finger and Multipack of 5 at leading retail stores across Malaysia at the recommended retail price of RM 1.50 and RM6.50 respectively.

Over the years, KITKAT has also expanded into the customised confectionery market with the introduction of the KITKAT Chocolatory in 2016, a chocolate concept store located in Mid Valley Megamall that offers up to 10,000 flavour combinations for a truly customised break.

KITKAT Popcorn is the latest addition to the KITKAT product portfolio, which also includes other popular tasty ranges such as the 2- and 4-finger milk chocolate KITKAT, KITKAT Bar, KITKAT Bites, KITKAT Chunky, the Japanese- inspired KITKAT Green Tea, the bite-sized KITKAT Mini fingers, as well as the local favourite KITKAT DUO Teh Tarik.
