Garrett Popcorn's 66th Anniversary Milestone Celebration

Garrett Popcorn celebrated their 66th Anniversary in style with a Cocktail Party last week.
It was held at Le Meridien, Kuala Lumpur with an amazing view.
List of guests invited include Garrett Popcorn's corporate clients and lucky fans of the brand.
About a hundred guests join in the celebratory event with Garrett Popcorn Shops®.

Garrett Popcorn Shops® began at the Garrett family kitchen table when each family member was challenged to create a caramel popcorn recipe. One creation stood out from the rest, to the extent that it was called CaramelCrisp™ to distinguish its unique flavor and delicate, crème brûlée crunch from the other ‘caramel corn’ varieties that were available at the time.

The 1949 opening of the first Garrett Popcorn Shop® generated a long queue of customers, all eagerly waiting to purchase a tin of handcrafted Garrett Popcorn™ made on-site throughout the day according to that same secret Garrett family recipe.

Today Garrett Popcorn Shops® remains A Chicago Tradition from the USA since 1949. Every batch of Garrett Popcorn™ is still handmade daily, in copper kettles, using only seven simple quality ingredients and no preservatives. Garrett Popcorn Shops® continues its history of generating large queues of new customers and loyal fans alike – the only difference is, today these form outside of Garrett Popcorn Shops® throughout the world.

Currently there are Garrett Popcorn Shops®; in Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, UAE, Hong Kong, Japan, Kuwait, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea.  Garrett Popcorn Shops® opened its doors to new customers in Detroit and Atlanta last year. If you love steam fish, this place is for you! Located at the other end of the mamak (nearby Seventeen Mall), this place is a hit especially for those who love healthy and simple food.  Mom and dad first discovered this place and finally took me here for dinner one day and I fell in love with its simple dishes. Address: 1270-1271, Jalan 17/31, Seksyen 17, 46400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Their menu is not fancy with many choices but good enough for a decent healthy dinner. They open as early as 5pm. Be there early to beat the hungry crowd.  My recommendation would be their Steamed Leopard Coral Goruper and Steamed Dragon Goruper. Sometimes these fish can go out of stock if you go too late. Baan Thai 2 Seafood Restaurant at Kuchai Lama

Not Halal I recently discovered a new place to dine authentic Thai Food at Jalan Kuchai Lama when my mom's friend took her to celebrate her birthday this year. This is their second outlet and it's only 3 months old. Their first outlet, Baan Thai is located in Cheras. It was indeed an eye opener. Upon stepping in the restaurant, I was dumbfounded! The size of the restaurant was huge and there was massive space.
