MUST DO: When travelling to Bangkok, one must shop at Pratunam for the best deals. Buy anything 3 piece and above and get wholesale price. Do joint buys with friends to enjoy greater savings when you buy 3 piece or more. Pratunam is a great place for bargain hunters who love anything from fashion clothings, jewelleries and accessories.

AVOID: Try not to eat at the food court at Platinum Plaza as one would have to pay via a prepaid card. Quite troublesome as they do not accept cash.

GOOD EATS: LAEM CHA-REON Seafood at Central World serves great Thai dishes with a great ambience.

TOP SHOP: The best place to shop for quality and fashionable cloth made bags are NARAYA. They are affordable and comes in a variety of designs, shapes and sizes. Very affordable too! Naraya's HQ and largest outlet is located at Ground Floor, Central World.

INSIDER TIP: If you are travelling with at least 4 people, do take a taxi instead of the BTS Skyway trains as you will save more on transportation. Take the train only when travelling with only 2-3 people.

If you love steam fish, this place is for you! Located at the other end of the mamak (nearby Seventeen Mall), this place is a hit especially for those who love healthy and simple food.  Mom and dad first discovered this place and finally took me here for dinner one day and I fell in love with its simple dishes. Address: 1270-1271, Jalan 17/31, Seksyen 17, 46400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Their menu is not fancy with many choices but good enough for a decent healthy dinner. They open as early as 5pm. Be there early to beat the hungry crowd.  My recommendation would be their Steamed Leopard Coral Goruper and Steamed Dragon Goruper. Sometimes these fish can go out of stock if you go too late. My first visit was at 8.30pm. It was still crowded but not that much as compared to my second visit at 7.30pm on another day. I had to walk off cause there were just too many tables unfed. Baan Thai 2 Seafood Restaurant at Kuchai Lama

Not Halal I recently discovered a new place to dine authentic Thai Food at Jalan Kuchai Lama when my mom's friend took her to celebrate her birthday this year. This is their second outlet and it's only 3 months old. Their first outlet, Baan Thai is located in Cheras. It was indeed an eye opener. Upon stepping in the restaurant, I was dumbfounded! The size of the restaurant was huge and there was massive space.
