Jamaica Blue introduces New Seasonal Menu

Hello!!! Friends,
Last week I had to opportunity to have a taste of Jamaica Blue's new seasonal menu at one of their latest outlet at Jamaica Blue Robertson. Located along Jalan Pudu, Bukit Bintang, you won't miss this as it is at the corner of The Robertson Residences, one of the upcoming properties in KL.
This is the entrance from inside the building.
This outlet is actually pretty roomy.
The interior looks posh, neat and organized.

Here's a sneak peak at some of their latest offerings under their new seasonal menu, the Winter Menu. First on my list is the Turkish Spiced Poached Eggs (RM18.00)
Who doesn't love poach eggs? Served with spinach, dukkah, herb yoghurt, chilli butter, herb pesto and it comes with some toast bread. I love the flavourful herbs on this dish.

Next we also tried these square looking cubes called the Mini Carrot & Beef Chorizo & Fetta Loves (RM14.50) and the Mini Forest Mushroom, Chorizo & Fetta Loaves (RM16.50) These are mini loaves served with dill and chive yoghurt with a salad garnish. How interesting!

I always find the food at Jamaica Blue rather healthy. I especially love their salad. Let me introduce to you the Warm Forest Mushroom, Fetta & Spinach Bowl (RM20.00)
I instantly fell in love with this! This bowl of healthy salad is filled with quinoa and almond porridge, chickpeas, poached egg, herbs with dukkah, which is an Egyptian condiment consisting of a mixture of herbs, nuts and spices. Quinoa on the other hand is a protein-packed grain that is a good source of Iron, magnesium, Vitamin E, potassium and fiber.

Grilled Beef Chorizo, Egg & Asparagus Brekkie Roll (RM20.90). It consist of beef chorizo, egg, asparagus, avacado, rocket and chipotle aioli (a sweet and spicy sauce) on a roll. The egg part is my favourite. Yup! That 2 bulat stuffing is the soft tender egg part!

Now comes a very interesting dish which I find simply irresistible.  Let me introduce to you, the Chicken Laksa Pasta (RM20.90). This dish is part of Jamaica Blue's Spiced-Upped Menu done with Malaysia-inspired recipes. This tastes rather good and such an interesting combination and goes well with the pasta!

Under the Spiced-Up Menu there are also the Satay Chicken Pies (RM14.90), Beef Rendang Pies (RM16.90) and the Spicy Vegetable Pasta Napolitano (RM19.90)

For dessert, we had the Homemade Lemon Curd Slice (RM6.00) which was very appetizing.

The session got even more exciting after all the makan -makan with a coffee scrub making session with Organic Touch Malaysia

The scrub consist of mixing dried coffee ground, epsom salt, fine sugar, olive oil, essential oil. At the end of the demo session we each got to bring home our very own coffee scrub courtesy of Organic Touch Malaysia.
Visit their facebook page as they sell their own handmade organic beauty products that are all 100% natural. https://www.facebook.com/organictouchmalaysia/

Next, we had a peek behind the scene on coffee art and the work of a barista by Mr. Teo.

Surrounded by a group of passionate bloggers who are also coffee lovers, Mr. Teo demonstrates the art of making the perfect brew.

Mr. Teo explains the temperature has to be right for a perfect cup of espresso. Not only that, the correct tamping technique is also important. Tamping involves using a flat-faced tamper (just like the photo above) pressed into the portafilter.

My dear blogger friend, Lwin Wen Li got all excited creating her very own latte!

  1. My friend who also was maid of honor stumbled upon this place, a hidden gem, and we popped over right away to see if it had possibilities. On first look and we knew, Chicago wedding venues were perfect. The view is to die for, and provided a breathtaking backdrop to the ceremony and then dinner.
