It was a life-changing experience for Jamie Tan when she was crowned the winner of L’Oréal Paris The Brush Contest Malaysia. Her “Color Clash” creation video impressed the panel of judges made up of General Manager of L’Oréal Consumer Products Division Darren Ho, professional makeup artist Geraldine Loy, TV host and celebrity Megan Tan, YouTuber and producer Joseph Germani and editor-in-chief of Tongue In Chic, Emma Chong Johnston.
Inspired by pastel shades of cotton candy, Jamie’s winning look features a combination of sweet pink and blue that blends into purple hue, further accentuated with navy blue eyeliner to open up the eyes. The eye makeup is complemented with a gradient lip colour in striking pink, finished with L’Oréal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire in Fuchsia Pink 106. Color Riche L’Extraordinaire is a liquid lip colour that contains micro-oils and rich colour pigments for the ideal balance of colour and care. Its unique soft-touch applicator allows for a silky-smooth, gliding application.
As the winner of The Brush Contest Malaysia, Jamie is now one step closer to achieving her dream of becoming a professional makeup artist. “As unbelievable as it seems, it has been an amazing experience for me so far! From shooting the video at home and submitting it on YouTube while waiting nervously for the Top 50 to be chosen, to finding out that I was one of the Top 10 finalists, to taking part in the bootcamp and eventually being selected as the winner – it makes me so happy that all the time spent doing makeup on myself and my friends has paid off in the end!” said the bubbly young woman.

And as for me, I also won something.
I was declared a winner for guessing the correct winner!
