WEVents 4th Anniversary: The Retro YOU

I was so egg-cited as the day draws closer to the WEVents Anniversary Party

Tonight is THE NIGHT!
Let me take you on a journey through the eyes as a contestant for the night.

First, let me share with you my story while getting ready for the WEVents Anniversary Party.
I was afro hair wig hunting at my favourite shopping place at Parkamaya
Too bad they ran out of black. The available colours were all too "Clown-ish" with the orange and pinks. It's a Big No No for me.

Finally arrived at Mid Valley and went and get my hair done.
My hairdo was sponsored by A Cut Above at Mid Valley. We were asked to do our "research" and bring a reference for the stylist to work on the style we wanted. I chose Karen Carpenter's fringe and bob. See my transformation. The stylist did up my hair under 10 minutes. I'm so impressed. So here's to share with you my outcome.

Voila!

Hairdo on the other contestants. Don't they look stunning!

Our make up was sponsored by Benefit Cosmetics
Here's my final make up done by this cute 19 year old make up artist who was patiently painting my face. She did an amazing job and I loved it!

First person on stage is last year's Talent show winner Ms Edazz Lucinda who melted our hearts with her rendition of Turn Me On (Norah Jones) and Proud Mary (Tina Turner)
She had the crowd cheering and dancing to her beat. Way to go, girl!

Third contestant was super cool Nicole who was the calmest of them all. She took the stage with confidence. Once she started singing, the crowd was cheering and everyone was mesmerized by her golden voice. Her voice is just awesome, like from a different era. She caught everyone by surprise. Way to go Nicole!
Contestant Number Four was Sakinah who also sang.
Anna Lau's seductive dance to a golden oldie was also entertaining.
I was up next! Super Kan Cheong ady....I sang Top Of The World
Next, we had Betty Liew on stage showing her grooves and moving to the sounds of Bee Gee's Staying Alive. Oh yes, she is so full of live!
Ally Low next serenade us with her song 月亮代表我的心. The crowd was familiar with that song and some sang with her. She looks stunning in her cheongsam.
And finally, Cat Ho, the lady with super long legs like a supermodel takes centre stage with her song Kissing A Fool by George Michael. See how immersed she is with her song and performance.

Next event lined up was to identify the best dressed ladies.
All these pretty ladies were shortlisted from the guests and attendees and called on stage                as they have really put in a lot of effort to dress up for the night.
And the winner goes to...Ms Rupa

The next session was fun and cheeky.
Guests were to bring their old vintage photographs that tells a story. These two lovely ladies were selected among the guests to have the most interesting photo and they competed for a winning spot.
